About Manifest Frequency and Dr Dawn
Since inception Manifest Frequency gained immediate attention winning awards & performing at major music fests & notable venues across the country, including SWSW, Atlantis Music Conference, Millennium Music Conference, Dfest!, and Dewey Beach Music Festival. MFQ was conceived by founder and songwriter Dawn Cook, a native of North Carolina, while living in Atlanta. She remains the sole full-time member, having maintained an ensemble of talented collaborators in the past to help produce the music and for various shows. MFQ began only with a dream, her songs, her voice, various instruments, a loop pedal and evolved from there.
While Dawn's previous "day job" as a neuro-psychologist posed some challenges with performing and touring, she managed to successfully book shows across the country maintaining a notible presence. Her debut album won a national award before it was even officially released. While in final preparation for the album release party, Dawn was unexpectedly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis following a sudden vision loss. This brought a complete halt not only to her career as a psychologist, but also threw obstacle upon obstacle in the way of any forward progression with her music for years to come. Yet, whether it be MS, death of her parents, severely broken fingers on her guitar hand, or the resulting poverty from all of it, the concept of Manifest Frequency would not die.
As the motto of MFQ says, "What you believe is what you receive. Choose your frequency" . Currently, the album, The Deconstruction of Dr Dawn" has been released globably across all platforms since May 23, 2025 to much anticipation. What comes next is an adventure waiting to happen and may also depend on you!
Please feel free to contact Dawn for any information and please check out the music! The album is also available to buy directly from this site.
